The Fork Restaurant has a hardcore focus on locally sourced and seasonally appropriate ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed, and food choices include classic small plates like Nan’s Bread with Whipped Molasses Butter and Fried Gnocchi along with large plate favorites like the Pan Fried Cod with Baby Potato, Salt Beef, Wilted Greens and Mustard Pickles or the Lamb Chops with Carrot, Parsnip, Potato, Turnip, Peas, and Squash. Cocktails are outstanding and don’t even think about skipping dessert. It’s the biggest mistake you’ll ever make.

The stroll takes less than 5 minutes, which means if you’re staying at Whale House you can have that extra cocktail and be back in your hot tub to enjoy some stargazing before you can say the words “blue whale” five times fast. The path itself is dimly lit with lanterns hanging from trees. The trail to fork restaurant winds up the gentle hill on which the restaurant is perfectly perched.
